Supply of 20 units 600A and 50 units 200A Switched Mode Power Supplies for the European XFEL

The power supply shall be a unipolar switched mode power supply, e.g. buck converter. As magnet power supplies the power supply will mainly be operated in constant DC mode at different current levels.
The primary DC voltage is produced via a central diode rectifier (not part of this tender), delivering a nominal voltage of 120–150 V. Several power parts will be connected to this diode rectifier. The power connection to this rectifier is done via bus bars and cabling. There will be external fuses for the short circuit protection between the diode rectifier and the power part. These fuses will be in the rack that will contain the power parts.
The output will be connected directly to the magnet (resistive-inductive load).
The power supplies shall be water cooled without fans.
DESY will provide a digital regulation with the precision regulation and control of the power part. Into the power part will inserted an interface card which is connected to the digital regulation via light link. To make a connection between the DESY part and the power part, a so called adapter card will be included into the power part.
There will be a phase of combined phase of engineering between the contractor and DESY.

Output ripple max: 1,0 V pp
Output ripple frequency > 25 kHz
Insulation voltage of the power part to ground: 1.5 kVrms
Insulation resistance to ground: > 10 M
Ambient temperature: 10 – 60 °C
MTBF >70 000 hrs.
