DEG, a subsidiary of KfW, finances investments of private companies in developing and transition countries. As one of Europe's largest development finance institutions, it promotes private business structures to contribute to sustainable economic growth and improved living-conditions.
DEG wishes to outsource the administration of its investments in emerging markets closed-end private equity funds to an external fund administrator. The fund administrator's processes for handling capital calls, repayments, valuation and reporting for DEG's portfolio of funds as well as its systems need to be interfaced into DEG processes and system environment (SAP and Business Warehouse).
The objectives are as follows:
— Outsourcing of DEG's fund administration, monitoring, valuation checks and reporting for its portfolio of emerging markets closed-end private equity funds,
— Capture fund as well as portfolio data in order to support a look-through on the funds' underlying portfolio companies,
— Assure compliance with German banking systems,
— Support an industry standard IT solution,
— Support front-office functionalities (e.g. deal-flow management), performance measurement, cash flow forecasting and risk management processes, either as part of the service or through providing the required data to DEG.
The bidder's offer have to contain information of the general approach to integration into a client's processes and systems, project plan and time frame for migrating data from DEG's into bidder's fund administration system. Also indications regarding commencement of service and the associated fee schedule are required.
The time limit until completion of the services is December 2014.
