Super-Polished X-Ray Kirkpatrick Baez optical systems for the SQS- and SCS-Instruments

Delivery of two (2) Super-Polished Kirkpatrik-Baez (KB) micro-focusing mirror systems, one system each for the SQS- and SCS-instruments including all mirrors, mechanical components and vacuum chambers needed for the focusing systems as well as the necessary design work, metrology of mirrors, testing and documentation.
Both systems will require a beyond state-of-the-art bender system with a 50 nrad overall target specification to achieve micron-sized or even sub-micron beam spots with long mirrors (up to 1 meter) and small bending radii (down to 390 m in the mirror center). An elaborated cooling scheme has to be implemented.
Special attention has to be paid to the UHV compatibility (1E-9 mbar or better hydrocarbon-free vacuum) and the particle-free requirements (ISO5) concerning the design and assembly of the vacuum chambers.

Technische und berufliche Fähigkeiten:

— References of at least 5 similar or equivalent systems: In particular cooled mirrors or KB systems at FELs or synchrotrons, mirrors >0.4 m, UHV compatible systems.

— Certificates or adequate proof of available ISO5 for clean-rooms or better.

— Demonstrated experience with oil-free pump stations, e.g. best UHV RGAs obtained at the facility.

— Metrology equipment: at least one linear interferometer or an autocollimator.

— Company profile including an overview of manufacturing, testing capabilities, qualification of the staff that will be working on this project. Special attention will be paid to in-house capabilities for design, manufacturing and testing.
