This document details the support requested in the field of (Sub) system engineering. It covers the timeframe from 1.1.2016 and 31.12.2016, with options for 2017.
The requested support consists of following items:
1. TSX/TDX subsystem engineering Telemetry/Tele-command/On-Board Computer (TMTC / OBC) including on-call service (routine phase)
2. EnMAP subsystem engineering TMTC / OBC (mission preparation)
3. Grace system engineering (routine phase, end of life operations) including on-call support
4. Multimission PTS subsystem engineering / including PAZ Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP) support
The contributions are needed for missions in various phases:
A. During preparation phase
B. During simulations campaigns
C. During Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP) phase
D. During routine phase
E. At the end of missions life time
The conditions of the contract shall reflect typical uncertainties of the mission phases. Launch dates are frequently shifted in time. As a consequence mission preparations need to be paused and/ or Launch and Early Orbit Phases need to be postponed. Missions may end abruptly.
In particular:
— A ‘pause option’ is requested for the support item 2 (EnMAP). The detailed conditions of ‘pause option’ shall be subject to negotiation.
— For all support items (TSX/TDX, EnMAP, Grace, Multimission PTS) a run-down option of 3 month duration is needed.
TERRASAR-X MISSION
The mission TerraSAR-X is in routine phase. The support request is described in the following.

OBC/TMTC SUBSYSTEM ENGINEERING SUPPORT FOR ENMAP
DLR requests OBC/TMTC subsystem engineering support for the mission ‘Environmental Mapping and Analysis Programe (EnMAP)’. The mission is currently about to start team built-up for the ground segment activities of project phase D ‘Assembly, Implementation, Test, and Validation’. The support request is described in the following.

— On Call PTS subsystem support during LEOP of upcoming missions and beyond if requested.
— Assistance in creating and maintaining the PTS related FOPs database
— Assistance in creating and maintaining the PTS FOPs User Manual
— Assistance in creating and maintaining the PTS Operations Guide
— Assistance in creating and maintaining the PTS SATMON pages

What we exactly need is the following:
Every employee of the supplier, who will be involved in the execution of the contract, must have an Ü1 verification respectively has to achieve it. In this case, not the supplier/company will obtain the certificate, but only the individual employee.
Therefore, please provide us a formless written confirmation, that your company is owner of a process in order to apply for the Ü1 of your staff. Either by yourself or by the DLR. And if not, you have to confirm that your company is willing to catch up this process directly after contract placing. In normal cases this can take up to 3 month.
