PV power forecasting — 81203527 (Indo-German Energy Program — Green Energy Corridors)
The Green Energy Corridors (GEC) programme of Govt. of India aims at increasing the capacity of the Indian electricity grid. The technical cooperation component under the project ‘Green Energy Corridors’ is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and is implemented in India by GIZ under the Indo — German Energy Program (IGEN) in cooperation with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).
The objective of the assignment is to enable and extend support to NIWE (National Institute of Wind Energy — research institution under the MNRE) for the development of indigenous solar PV forecasting capability. During the assignment, capabilities have to be imparted to NIWE, so that the institute is able to sustainably continue performing solar PV forecasting independently after the completion of the project. In addition to the support to NIWE other relevant Indian stakeholders, including load despatch centres etc., may also be supported.
