The call addresses an atomic layer deposition (ALD) thin film encapsulation (TFE) module for Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLED) on (CMOS-) Silicon-wafer and related devices. The tool has to be clean room compatible and has to process 200 mm wafer. Continuation in II.2.4.

Add on to clause II.1.4)

The tool needs to be attached to an existing OLED deposition tool and must provide an inert transfer to an ALD chamber. The ALD chamber has to be able to deposit Al2O3, TiO2 layer with an excellent homogeneity and reproducibility. Improving the ALD-layer by applying an organic or polymeric und inert atmosphere must be possible. A moisture barrier of ≤ 10-6 g/m2d has to be reached on wafer level. Processes for cleaning, maintenance and moisture barrier deposition have to be disclosed. The performance of the encapsulation has to be demonstrated on 200 mm wafer with integrated OLED by contractor. The OLED wafer will be prepared by client.

In the event that a subcontractor is involved, these should be named and evidence submitted that they are also compliant with the Suitability Criteria (Eignungskriterien) described also in III.1). The proportion of the complete scope that will be completed by the subcontractor must also be stated.
