Within the context of this mission, the contractor is responsible for the development and introduction of a modern traceability system for cedar wood in Ifrane National Park. The introduction of the traceability system for cedar wood is meant to support national forest authorities in the implementation of transparent wood-selling and marketing procedures. The objective is to reduce illegal logging, improve control processes for logged wood and the monitoring of wood flows as well as to increase revenues from wood sales. Thus, the contractor contributes to achieving Project Result 1 (within the scope of the overall project): ‘The forest administration implements innovative and adapted processes for a better valorisation of cedar wood as a result of the introduction of a timber traceability system in Ifrane Province.’ The contract will be executed in Morocco. The contractor will be a part of the implementation concept of Result 1. It is indispensable for the contractor's on-site staff to cooperate closely with and report to the team leader of the overall project.
