Submarine Cable Installation Management

This ‘Submarine Cable Installation Management’ tender concerns the provision of Installation Managers who:
— Liaise between the Employer's offshore installation contractor and the Employer's marine coordination and offshore construction management department. It is necessary for installation managers to be familiar with the cable installation contract, Vattenfall operational guidelines and HSSE requirements. Liaison on a pragmatic and operational level is also necessary to ensure that the works offshore run smoothly and problems are effectively and efficiently dealt with.
— Ensure that the mobilization of vessel, plant and personnel are compliant to Vattenfall requirements (Review and commenting of working procedures is a primary function prior to mobilization).
— Collate and review daily progress reports (DPRs) and ensure they reflect the correct account of operations.
— Ensure QAQC requirements are followed and any non-conformities are actioned.
— Review and correct as-built charting and documentation.
Mobilization ports are likely to be in Europe. Office locations for meetings and works preparation are likely to be in Amsterdam, Esbjerg, Hamburg, Hexham, Kolding, London, Stockholm and at the base harbour for the Project(s).

Your company must have taken out liability insurance that at the time of application is valid for at least 6 more months, with a minimum cover of 1 000 000 EUR per event or you must provide for such insurance in case of contract award.
Technische und berufliche Fähigkeiten:
In order to fulfill the works candidates must:
— Min. 5 years' experience within the offshore wind industry;
— Min. 5 years' experience working in the submarine cable installation sector;
— Have sufficient theoretical and practical knowledge including relevant formal qualification(s) such as an engineering degree, Master Mariner or similar qualification(s);
— Hold relevant training certificates compliant to working offshore in accordance to GWO;
— Be fluent in English (verbally and written) and preferably another language(s) depending on the location;
— Have the relevant HSE certificates to carry out the Services;
— Provide own relevant Personal Protective Equipment and communication tools (Notebook, Smartphone).
Your organisation does not meet Vattenfall's minimum requirement if your organisation has less than 3 consultants directly employed (on your own payroll) in each role mentioned above.
