The program ‘Mekong Urban Flood Proofing and Drainage Programe (FPP)’ aims to improve the development and implementation of a holistic and coherent flood risk management approach across several sectors on national/provincial levels and in selected cities.
The objective of the assignment is to provide an evidence-based foundation for use by managerial authorities for flood control and disaster mitigation operations, land-use planning and flood evacuation planning. It will include amongst others to develop, install and operationalize flood risk models and flood risk model management systems in order to provide data, information and analysis from flood risk models, to design, establish, and or revise existing drainage plans and land-use plans.
