Many of the Indian rivers and groundwater resources are heavily polluted, overexploited and negatively impacted. More holistic river basin management approaches need to be applied.
The overall objective of this Action ‘Development and implementation support to the India-EU Water partnership’ is to strengthen experience and implementation exchanges between public and private sector stakeholders in EU member states and India in the water sector. In this context, the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit is seeking the services of a Team of consultants to support the EU and the IEWP/GIZ Project management unit to address and tackle the implementation activities related to the Action plan and 9 priority areas, the development and contribution to sustainable river basin management in India based on EU expertise and an improved India-EU policy dialogue.
