The EU commissioned the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) as implementing agency for MYSAP. Additional funding is provided by the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
The joint co-funded project has started in December 2017. The programme aims to support the expansion of semi-intensive freshwater aquaculture for the domestic market and the promotion of coastal aquaculture in a sustainable, inclusive and climate-resilient manner.
The objective of this assignment is to strengthen the Myanmar DoF and private sector concerning SPS measures to improve aquatic animal and public health plus food safety for domestic consumption and export.
