81248341-Standards RE and EE

Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH

The Nigerian Energy Support Programme (NESP) aims at enabling investments in the market for RE and EE, and improving access to electricity in Nigeria. The programme is co-funded by the European Union and the German Government, and implemented by GIZ and the Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing.
The renewable energy sector in Nigeria is currently experiencing an increase in investments. This has led to the increasing number of mini grid projects and has thus become important to develop standards for these equipment to further strengthen the environment for investments.
Now, in its second phase, NESP is looking for a multi-disciplinary team of International and National consultants who will support the development of standards for solar PV modules, batteries and charge controllers, including the safe use and disposal of lead acid and other batteries used in solar PV and other power back up systems.
