The FABRIC project (‘Promoting Sustainability in the Textile and Garment Industry in Asia’) supports the Asian textile industry in its transformation towards fair production for people and the environment. It identifies the common interests of key actors — in the factories, ministries, civil society and international brand manufacturers — and brings them together with the aim of developing a shared vision of sustainability and promoting greater cooperation.
The project operates in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Myanmar, Pakistan and Viet Nam and works with China. The project activities are clustered in five output areas as follows:
1) prerequisites for a common positioning of the producer countries on essential sustainability aspects have been strengthened;
2) new forms of cooperation with the private sector promote the transition of a sector towards sustainable textile and garment production;
3) implementation of labour and social standards are being promoted;
4) conditions for gender equality at the workplace have improved;
5) preconditions to strengthen the capacities for sustainable environmental and resource management are improved transnationally.

The project operates in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Myanmar, Pakistan and Viet Nam and works with China. The project activities are clustered in five output areas as follows:

The contractor shall provide sound technical knowledge for promoting environment-friendly techniques and chemical in the textile sector. In particular, he shall develop and apply training modules and advisory products in order to strengthen local capacities to improve ecological standards and sustainability in the textile and apparel sector in three countries (Bangladesh, Pakistan and Vietnam), taking country-specific context, requirements and contributions into account and also provide international and local/regional specialists with relevant professional and regional experience.

Bedingungen für die Teilnahme
Befähigung zur Berufsausübung:
1) trading name and address, commercial register number;
2) eligibility declaration that no grounds for exclusion in section 123, 124 of the German Act Against Restraints of Competition (GWB) apply;
3) eligibility declaration subcontractors if applicable;
4) association clause if applicable.
Wirtschaftliche und finanzielle Leistungsfähigkeit:
1) average annual turnover for the last three years at least EUR 2 000 000;
2) number of employees as at 31.12 of the previous year at least 10 persons.
Technische und berufliche Fähigkeiten:
1) at least three reference projects in the technical field of industrial environment and at least two reference projects in Asia in the last 3 years;
2) the technical assessment is only based on reference projects with a minimum commission value of EUR 150 000.
