The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development supports the Jordanian government in its efforts to increase energy efficiency in Jordan's water sector through the project ‘Increasing Energy Efficiency in the Water Supply’, implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). The current phase runs from 10/2017 to 10/2021.
GIZ is seeking to procure the services of a contractor to support the implementation of the Energy Management Systems (EnMS) in the water supply companies and the Water Authority of Jordan. The scope of work for the contractor is structured in four work packages:
1) maintenance and improvement of the EnMS in existing EnMS implemented scopes in the water sector;
2) supporting the implementation, monitoring and evaluating of the energy efficiency measure;
3) expansion of existing EnMS scopes in the Jordanian water sector;
4) support coordination of energy management activities on different levels of the water sector.
