TenneT is responsible for the investigation of seabed conditions along its future cable routes within German waters and the German EEZ. Furthermore TenneT is responsible to monitor its existing cable routes in Dutch and German waters and respective EEZs during their operational phase. In order to make sure that the construction planning and work is based on sound information and the operational phase is executed in a safe manner with feasible risk management, TenneT is responsible to acquire high quality seabed information to enable the development of construction and maintenance strategies and to provide contractors and authorities with the required information about seabed conditions.
