The purpose of this tender is the procurement of an automatic sample changer for the HZB beamline 14.2, which will be used to transfer protein crystals mounted in SPINE compatible sample holders from a storage dewar to the goniometer and vice versa in a fast, reliable and efficient way.
Key specifications of the delivered system include:
a large storage dewar to allow for a storage of more than 25 universal pucks, a double gripper tool to transfer and retrieve samples within one combined trajectory, automatic tool calibration and goniometer position calibration and a fill software compatibility to the used tango, MXCuBE experimental control environment of BL14.2. The sample changer must in addition follow all EU machine directive regulation and need to be fully integrated within the existing working cell environment of BL14.2.

The bidder must provide references of customers who routinely use the offered or similar system for applications in synchrotron-based protein crystallography sample changing robotics for more than five years with the following main features (3 references required) - Design, construction, installation and maintenance of automatic sample changing robots with large, static, superinsulated dewar of more than 25 puck positions

- Automatic tool calibration and goniometer position calibration

- Double gripper transfer tool with automatic tool change

- Tango device server compatibility and MXCuBE control software integration

For each reference, one of the attached forms must be provided. Each form must include sufficient information to evaluate how the reference meets the above requested criteria plus contact information of the reference.
