Data Collection for the Randomised Controlled Trial - Translation of all survey tools to Marathi/Hindi/other necessary Indian languages and local dialects as per the requirements of the study setting - Baseline data collection in 150 communities (50 each in Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra) with a total sample size of 2.250 husband-wife pairs (i.e. 4.500 interviews in total) /survey length: approx. 40 mins - The baseline data is to be submitted on a daily basis in anonymised form onto an online server (ideally using SurveyCTO) accessible to the project PI who will be able to track the progress of the data collection and its quality/rigour - Endline data collection in 150 communities (50 each in Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra) with a total sample size of 2.250 husband-wife pairs (i.e. 4.500 interviews in total) survey length: approx. 30 mins - The endline data is to be submitted on a daily basis in anonymised form onto an online server (ideally using SurveyCTO) accessible to the project PI who will be able to track the progress of the data collection and its quality/rigour - Qualitative data collection at endline: 9 focus group discussions and 15 in-depth interviews with programme participants / interview length: 60-90 mins - Transcription and translation of qualitative FGD/interview data Process Evaluation - Participation/engagement rating (through observation) of one out of six programme sessions per treatment community, i.e. 75 sessions in total (session duration: approx 2 hrs) - Personalised attendance records for each session in 75 treatment communities Implementation of Community-based Intervention - Supporting the development of an intervention curriculum - Translation of curriculum to Hindi/Marahi/other required languages - Conduct train-the-trainer sessions in 15 locations (all bringing together 5 trainers for specific treatment communities) - Conduct monthly refresher sessions via Zoom for all trainers - Implementation of intervention: for 75 treatment communities, six 2-hour sessions in central community locations, 3 attended jointly by husband and wife and 3 attended separately, including venue rent, refreshments/snacks for participants and remuneration of facilitators
