The European Central Bank (ECB) is seeking through this open procedure a supplier for the provision of maintenance services of lifts in the ECB’s Main Building. For the different types of lift systems, the ECB is seeking suppliers for the provision of inspection and maintenance, repair works and incident management services. The scope of the required services is based on the respective norms and technical regulations (i.e. DIN EN, DIN, VDE, VDMA, AMEV etc.) and includes beside the aforementioned works and services, also the coordination and monitoring of the inspections in accordance with German statutory regulations. The tender procedure is organised in 2 lots, one per each of the following service groups: Lot I: Services for the lift systems in the high-rise building (Hochhaus); Lot II: Services for the lifts in the wholesale market hall (Grossmarkthalle). Interested companies may submit a tender for one or both lots. Tenderers intending to submit an offer for both lots, shall submit two offers i.e. one individual offer for each lot. The ECB intends to award framework agreements (the ‘Contract’) to the suppliers offering the best value for money. The envisaged number of Contracts to be awarded is one Framework agreement for each Lot.

Includes services for the lift systems in the high-rise building (Hochhaus), which comprise 5 passenger lifts, 6 passenger lifts with TWIN lift systems and 5 shuttle lifts (fast moving lifts in glass shafts). The mentioned lifts are allocated to three lift groups. Lift calls to these lifts are coordinated via a centralised destination control unit. Additionally, the high-rise is equipped with 2 firemen’s and freight lifts, and 2 lifts servicing 4 of the higher floors. Within the westwing building, the wholesale market hall (Grossmarkthalle) contains a Paternoster lift (refurbished in 2014). This equipment is kept in “stand-by mode maintenance” and only operated on special occasions.
