In this context, information sharing is a key enabler allowing to react in a timely manner to an urgent concern affecting the safety of aircraft operation, including the risks to civil aviation arising from conflict zones. Therefore, there is a need to provide the Agency with a tool allowing to disseminate credible information to air operators and Member States related to conflict zones developments so that they could be in a position to conduct their risk assessments in an informed manner and decide on their operations. The tool should also enable interactions between EASA, operators and Member States. In addition, there is a need to provide the Agency with a possibility to request bespoke services in the field of conflict zones to strengthen its situational awareness and risk assessment capabilities.

EASA shall issue recommendations and disseminate relevant information to National Aviation Authorities (NAAs) and natural and legal persons subject to the EASA Basic Regulation in case of risks to civil aviation arising from conflict zones.
