The consultancy service aims to implement Climate Risk Analysis (CRA) in selected river basins in Central Asia. The goal is to identify water-related climate risks and prioritize measures through stakeholder engagement. This will lead to the development of a Climate Risk Management Plan, which includes indicators, monitoring systems, and cost estimates for implementation. The consultancy also involves publishing project findings, consulting with authorities, and incorporating climate risk minimizing measures into regional development strategies.
Additionally, capacity development trainings will be organized in the selected river basins to support the sustainable drafting and updating of CRA and the utilization of its results in addressing local climate risks, vulnerabilities, and adaptation measures.
The contractor is responsible for supplying 6 main work packages which are tightly connected:
Work package 1: Inception and work planning
Work package 2: Outline of methodological approach
Work package 3: Conducting the climate risk analysis (CRA)
Work package 4: Identification of feasible actions
Work package 5: Development of a Climate Risk Management Plan
Work package 6: Capacity Development Training
