The European Patent Organisation (EPO) tenders the administration of its healthcare insurance scheme and other tasks related to healthcare insurance matters. As an intergovernmental organisation, the EPO offers its own social security system to its staff that is independent of any social security system offered in the countries in which it has a duty station (Germany, NL, Austria and Belgium) As part of this social security package, all EPO employees, pensioners and their families are covered by the EPO healthcare insurance scheme.
