Establishing and implementation of a payment-, cash-, and liquidity-management-system with support including standardization and optimization of work-flows

DEG invests in profitable projects that contribute to sustainable development in all sectors of the economy, from agribusiness to infrastructure and manufacturing to services. The financial sector is a further focus in order to facilitate reliable access to investment capital locally.
DEG wishes to implement a payment-, cash-, and liquidity management system ("CMS"). It needs to be considered that DEG have a strategy to use SAP as an integrated IT-solution. Based on this, the CMS which will be selected should be fully integrated into SAP. The objectives are as follows:
— further automate the payment process, which currently contains several manual workarounds, in order to improve efficiency and reduce operational risks,
— achieve a full and up-to-date visibility of the cash- and currency positions, as a basis for limit monitoring and performing daily cash- and liquidity management activities,
— further improve and automate liquidity planning (cash forecasting), both on the short-, medium- and longer term as a basis for liquidity risk reporting- and management (e.g. determining the required liquidity buffer) and optimizing the funding structure.
To realize the improvement objectives, DEG seeks an implementation partner that has both the ability to design a blueprint for payment-/ cash management and liquidity planning which serves as a basis for adopting the internal process design (SFO) as well as for the IT solution. The bidder's offered solution contains the design, development, delivery, support and local training.
