The confocal Raman microscope is an optical metrology tool for non-contact material analysis providing information about material structure and composition. The measurement is based on the inelastic photon-phonon scattering (Raman effect) in stokes and anti-stokes configuration.
The confocal Raman microscope consists of a spectrometer unit, a microscope (incl. binocular head, white light source and appropriate colour image sensor) and laser sources for illumination in a modular setup.
The confocal Raman microscope must be capable for imaging spectroscopy, image processing and image analysis (1D, 2D, 3D).
The confocal Raman microscope system must also be capable for photoluminescence (PL) measurements.
