The contractor contributes to the target indicators, outputs and output indicators described in this document through deployment of short-term experts (national, regional and international expertise) until end of the contract period.
Target indicators
- 313 people, 103 of them women, are self-employed or in a new job as a result of the project"s support for start-ups
- 150 out of 250 entrepreneurs in the post-formation phase who have successfully completed training and coaching courses, 50 of them companies managed by women, confirm an increase in the growth potential of their company in 2 of 7 categories
- 4 measures in the Jordan Entrepreneurship Policy to support growth and employment-oriented start-ups were implemented in participation with the ecosystem of partner institutions
Output 1: Human resource and planning capacity of public and private ecosystem stakeholders for designing support measures for entrepreneurs is strengthened: 41% in overall project, for this contract 63%
Output indicators:
- A Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system to support effective implementation of the general entrepreneurship policy is in place and operational.
- 1 Public-to-Public and 1 Public-to-Private dialogue format to support the implementation of entrepreneurship policies are designed, structured, and implemented
- 1 new sectoral or cross-cutting start-up policy reform is developed with ecosystem actors
- 80% of 400 employees, 50% of whom are women, of the political partner and other relevant ministries, agencies and private ecosystem actors who have received entrepreneurship training confirm an improvement in their ability to design support measures for start-ups
Output 2: Ecosystems for supporting entrepreneurs and business in the governorates are strengthened: 26% in overall project, for this contract 25%
Output indicators:
- 4 governorate start-up and business promotion networks, one of them for the empowerment of women, are operational in the governorates
- 6 start-up support services, 2 of which for women-owned and/or women-led businesses, are new or further developed on the basis of cooperation between governorate ecosystem stakeholders and national or international stakeholders
Output 3: Entrepreneurs make greater use of markets and business potential in the governorates: 31% in overall project, for this contract 12%
Output indicators:
- 94 business ideas, of which 31 are initiated by women and 19 in the area of Green Business and Social Entrepreneurship, based on market and business potential in selected sectors in the governorates were implemented in pilot projects
- 375 companies in the start-up and post-start-up phase confirm with practical examples that the newly gained knowledge from support services has been put into practice as part of regional initiatives and private sector involvement
This assignment consists of
- assisting the project team in administrative and HR processes, including hiring and contracting experts with international/regional/national expertise.
- developing and maintaining a pool of qualified short-term experts with international/regional/national expertise, ensuring legal compliance, facilitating communication, monitoring performance, and upholding ethical standards
- Integrating experts with international/regional/national expertise within the project's existing structure to foster collaboration, synergy, and shared responsibility, leading to enhanced project outcomes.
- And,
- Contributing to the project's target indicators and outputs through the deployment of short-term experts with international/regional/national expertise.
